Problem Statement
BSE needed to update their website and create a mobile application to appeal to their growing young population demographic. They noticed that Millenials & Generation Zs faced challenges due to a lack of infrastructure to easily get information about the stock market.
02
Solution
A user-friendly BSE app that makes monitoring and trading more accessible to their target audience by simplifying the process.
03
Competitive Analysis
I conducted a competitive analysis of existing products, 2 of the top players in the African market. The old Nairobi Stock Exchange and Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
Strengths
Easily compare stocks.
Lists are easy to scan for information by most users.
Established reputation and user base.
Weaknesses
It can be overwhelming for new users, with a lot of features and options that may be difficult to navigate.
Confusing terminology and jargon. Historical data was not easily accessible.
Finally, NSE's customer support can be slow to respond, which can be frustrating for users who need help with issues.

04
Result
The user flow highlights the different pathways a user can take when trying to navigate The BSE App. The app employs a simple and straightforward navigation system that allows users to move effortlessly between different sections and features, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable user experience.
After launch, there were 12,000+ downloads within the first 2 months.
We got a chance revamp the The Nairobi Stock Exchange app based on some of the functionalities they saw on the BSE App
